Original poster from the 1970 exhibition at Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, featuring works by Danish artist Richard Mortensen (1910–1993) – a key figure in 20th-century abstract art.
This poster marks a major retrospective covering Mortensen’s non-figurative works from the early 1950s up to his 60th birthday in 1970. A pioneer of Danish abstraction, Mortensen co-founded the Linien group in the 1930s, introducing surrealism to Denmark.
Later based in Paris, he worked alongside sculptor Robert Jacobsen and exhibited at Galerie Denise René, where his style evolved toward constructivist abstraction, drawing inspiration from Zen Buddhism.
A bold piece of Danish art history, ideal for collectors and modern art enthusiasts. Richard Morten received several honors for his art.
Frame is not included.
