1. General conditions
The following terms and conditions shall apply to all the orders placed by our customer (hereinafter referred to as “you”) to The Edit SRL, (CUI RO40642352, hereinafter referred to as “The Edit”, “us” or “we” on the www.theedit.ro website), on the mobile phone version of our website, through the mobile application or by telephone (collectively, “theedit.ro”).
By using theedit.ro and/or placing your order, you undertake to observe the terms and conditions to be provided below (the “Terms”). Before placing an order, please make sure you have read and understood these Terms.
Only the natural persons who are at least 18, who are not under guardianship, do not act as legal persons and have residence or another address in Romania (except address forwarding companies) may place orders.
The inclusion of any products of services on theedit.ro at any given time shall not involve nor guarantee that these products or services shall be available at any given time. We reserve the right to cease the sale of a product at any given time.
We reserve the right to amend these Terms from time to time, without prior notice. Your order shall be governed by the Terms stated on thedit.ro when your order was placed.
The Edit wishes to offer you the best online experience. To this end, we need to make sure our services are flawless. You understand and consent (i) not to post, forward, upload or promote any communications or content that might be detrimental or which might impact our company negatively, our products or our services; (ii) not to act in a fashion which nor use any device that might restrict, hinder, inconvenience or render another user unable to benefit from the site theedit.ro which would impair the security of this website or (iii) not to use any device or attempt to use any engine, piece of software, instrument, agent, script or other device or mechanism (including but without limitation to spiders, bots, indexing robots, avatars or intelligent agents) to browse or to search this website or to copy website contents. We reserve the right to ban website access and to close immediately any account belonging to a user who breached this provision or any other provision set out in these Terms and Conditions.
2. Prices and delivery fees
The prices posted on www.theedit.ro are expressed in the currency of your choice. The prices are valid at the time you are accessing the webpage on which they are posted and The Edit reserves the right to alter them at any time, without (prior) notice.
By placing you order on www.theedit.ro you irrevocably undertake to pay the equivalent value of the products you have ordered.
The price of the products will be as stipulated at all times on our Website, except in the case of an obvious error. Although we make every effort to ensure that the prices featured on the web page are correct, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of any of the products that you have ordered, we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of confirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you, from reasons not attributable to us, the order will be considered cancelled and, if you have already paid the product (s), all paid amounts will be reimbursed to you in full. We are not obliged to provide you with any product at the incorrect lower price (even when we have sent the Shipment Confirmation) if the error in the price is obvious and unmistakable and could have reasonably been recognized by you as an incorrect price.
Deliveries across Romania are free of charge for orders above 250 RON, for orders below 250 RON a shipping fee of 20 RON must be paid.

3. Order placement/conclusion of the contract
You may place your order on theedit.ro, by e-mail at hello@theedit.ro, by phone at +40731341495 or in our store on Icoanei 20, Bucharest.
As soon as the order is placed, if you provided us with your e-mail address, you shall receive a confirmation e-mail. If, for a specific reason, we are unable to process your order, we shall let you know as soon as possible. If we already received the payment for your order, we shall try to repay the amount by using the same method that was used for payment. If, for a specific reason, other arrangements are required, we shall notify you about this and request you to contact us by e-mail at hello@theedit.ro or by phone at +40731341495, for the repayment of the amount in question.
If you are contracting as a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from the Contract, within 14 calendar days, without giving any reason. The withdrawal period will expire after 14 calendar days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the goods or in case of multiple goods in one order delivered separately, after 14 calendar days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good. To exercise the right of withdrawal, you may notify us at the phone number +40731341495 or by sending us an e-mail at hello@theedit.ro, of your decision to withdraw from this Contract by an unequivocal statement. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
If you withdraw from this Contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery to the original delivery place (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the standard delivery offered by us) without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 calendar days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this Contract. Notwithstanding the foregoing, we may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest. You shall send back the goods without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 calendar days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this Contract to us. The deadline is met if you give back the goods before the period of 14 calendar days has expired. You shall bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
4. Delivery
The Edit shall make every effort for the acceptance and processing of your order and shall attempt to deliver it to your domicile address or another address in Romania, as per the delivery method you opted for.
For items in stock, The Edit shall prepare your order within 2 business days from the date it has been placed and the courier service shall deliver it within 2 business days.
If the ordered products are not in stock, The Edit shall communicate you the delivery time by email or phone.
While our intent is to make the delivery within the deadline provided above, please note that the delivery might take longer due to events beyond our control, however we will notify you with the updated delivery term.

5. Returns
The return of the products or the consumer’s right to unilaterally terminate the Contract is regulated under Government Ordinance no. 34 of 12 June 2014.
According to Article 9 para. 1 of Government Ordinance no. 34 of 12 June 2014 on consumer rights under the contracts concluded with professionals, you have a right to withdraw from the contracts you executed by counterparts, within 14 calendar days after you or a third party, other than the carrier, as you may assign, has taken physical possession of the products / the last product. A customers who is dissatisfied with a product may return it and/or may select another product, up to the equivalent value of the product returned, according to the terms and conditions below.
Your right to cancel the Contract shall apply exclusively to the products that are returned in the same conditions in which you received them. Products must be returned using or including their original packaging. You must also include all original product boxes, labels, instructions/ documents (if they exist) and wrappings together with the returned product. No refund shall be paid if the product has been used beyond simply opening it or if it has been damaged, so you must take care of the products while they are in your possession.
Before returning the products, customers need to notify The Edit in writing to the email address hello@theedit.ro in order to receive instructions regarding the address to which the product should be returned.
The organization of the return as well as the associated costs fall entirely under the responsibility of the customer, with the exception of defective products.
Once we receive the returned product, we will inspect it and inform you about your right to be refunded the corresponding value. In the event that the product has been used after unsealing, is not in the same condition as when delivered, has been damaged by the customer, or does not have the original packaging and labels, we reserve the right to refuse the return.
If, following the inspection of the product, the return is accepted, we will proceed with the refund using the same method used for the original payment, no later than 14 days from receiving your cancellation notification, provided that we have received the items or proof of their return.
Returns of defective products
If the product is not in accordance with the contract at the time of delivery, you must contact us immediately through our contact form and provide details about the product and the damage it presents, or you can contact us by phone at +40731341495, or via email at hello@theedit.ro, to arrange the pickup of the product from the specified address. The complaint must always be accompanied by a demonstrative image or video.
Once we receive the returned product, we will thoroughly analyze it and inform you about your right to be refunded the corresponding value or to have the product replaced (as applicable) through an email, within a reasonable period of time. The refund or replacement of the item will take place as soon as possible, without undue delays, and in any case, no later than 14 calendar days from the date we confirm to you via email that you are entitled to a refund or replacement for the non-compliant product.
Amounts paid for returned products due to actual damage or defects will be fully refunded, as well as the delivery costs incurred by you for receiving the products.
We will proceed with the refund using the same method used for the original payment, no later than 14 days from receiving your cancellation notification, provided that we have received the items or proof of their return.
Returns of customised or made to order products
Customised or made to order products are those that are not in our stock at the time of the order and for which an order is placed with the manufacturer for the product to be made according to the specifications of the order.
Custom or personalized products are not covered by the right of return.
6. Complaints
Any dissatisfaction pertaining to the access, use, log-in on our website, order placement, issued pertaining to the order made and the like shall be communicated to us directly, by phone at +40731341495 or by e-mail at hello@theedit.ro
Your dissatisfaction shall be registered and you shall receive a reply in writing, at the e-mail address stated in the notice of dissatisfaction you sent us, within 3 business days.
The customer hereby represents it shall agree not to make his/her dissatisfaction public (on the social medial, in the press or by other means), under penalty of damages for the damage caused to the reputation of our Company by such actions.
If you have an issue with a product you purchased on The Edit and were unable to solve the complaint with The Edit, then you may lodge your complaint on the EU Online Dispute Resolution (the “ODR Platform”).
The ODR Platform enables EU-based consumers and traders to attempt to seek an alternative solution to their complaints regarding online shopping. This unique contact point was designed as an interactive website that is easy to use, available in all the official languages of the EU and free of charge. For the use of the ODR Platform consumers and traders may be able to find a dispute resolution entity and can undergo the procedure for finding solutions to consumer complaints. The ODR Platform is available here: http://ec.europa.eu/odr.
7. Payment methods
Credit card or debit card
You may enter the payment details when you are placing your order, using a valid credit card or debit card (VISA or Mastercard). The transactions are processed by the NETOPIA operator.
Cash upon delivery option
The order will be paid in cash upon delivery to an authorized courier which will provide a receipt. This payment method is valid only for orders below 1000 RON.
Bank transfer
Once your order is confirmed, we will send you an invoice together with payment instructions. Your order will not be shipped until we have received full payment.
8. Our liability
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude or limit the liability of The Edit for any aspect for which it would be illegal to limit or exclude our liability.
The Edit shall not be liable for any indirect losses that may arise as secondary effects deriving from a main loss or damage, such as the loss of profits or the loss of opportunity, or for our inability to deliver the goods or meet any of our obligations under these Terms, if such inability is due to an event beyond our control, including but without limitation to: fire, flood, storm, civil unrest, warfare, nuclear accident and terrorist activity.
Our maximum liability to you for any loss or damage occurring in connection with an order you placed on theedit.ro shall be limited to the total price of your order.
9. Colors and materials
We make every effort to accurately display the characteristics of our products, including composition and colors. However, the color you see may be influenced by various factors, such as the brightness and angle of the photo, as well as your computer system. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that your device will accurately display these colors.
The product images are for presentation purposes and informative only.
Materials such as wood, stone/marble are natural materials and have unique characteristics, which is why there may be differences between the showcased product and the one delivered.
10. Guarantee
If the goods you purchased are faulty, The Edit shall observe the legal regulations regarding the guarantee. If you have a complaint about the apparent defects in the material or the manufacture of the goods we supplied, including in connection with the damage incurred during transportation, please let us know in an e-mail at hello@theedit.ro
11. Assignment
The Edit reserves the right to assign or transfer to third parties its undertaking for any claim(s) for payment arising in connection with the supply of the goods.
12. Termination of some Terms
If some of these Terms are considered forbidden or ineffective by any court of law or regulation body, the other Terms shall remain applicable.
13. Ownership
All the intellectual property rights such as trademarks, copyrights, on theedit.ro shall be the property of The Edit. Any use of the theedit.ro website or its contents, including copying or storing, in full or in part, of such contents for purposes other than your personal and non-commercial use without The Edit’s consent shall be prohibited.
