The Edit is an exclusive selection of home accessories that are simple, yet versatile and sophisticated. The collection includes carefully selected international brands as well as its own private label, designed and made in boutique workshops in Romania.The Edit was founded by Irina Pogonaru and Magda Staicu, who share a passion for the intimate bond between people and their interiors.
Irina has built her professional universe blending a passion for design with an entrepreneurial spirit. After studying at Istituto Marangoni in Milan and KLC School of Design in London, she worked for Natalia Miyar's London studio. Irina’s projects were published in Vogue Living and The New York Times. She has a recognisable aesthetic that is sophisticated and highly sensorial and believes a home should only be filled with things you absolutely love.
Magda on the other hand, is an expert in marketing and sales with extensive international experience. She has launched and developed a wide selection of premium products. While embracing the eloquence of numbers, the study of consumer trends and insights, she also firmly believes that beyond reason and strategy, inspired choices are influenced by stories and emotion.
The pair met in 2012 when Magda commissioned Irina to design her house in Bucharest. The two quickly bonded over shared aesthetics and a love for velvet and brass. Seven years later, they finally decided to build a business venture together that expressed their collective visual universe.
The Edit is Irina and Magda’s love letter to the delicate and intimate relationship that is created between people and their objects.
Their collection is a subtle blend of fine fabrics, precious colors, sophisticated contrasts and balanced proportions. It brings you design from Salone del Mobile and Maison et Objet, but also those unique items created by lesser known designers.
Irina and Magda are proud of their hand-picked selection which epitomises the things that they value the most: beautiful design, quality craftsmanship and timeless sophistication.
