A wave moving across – that was the intention and the inspiration that Monika Mulder wanted to create with the shape of Hans pendant lamp. Based in the Swedish values of design, the name Pholc tells about their heritage, as well as the vision to look forward. Pholc represents a timeless and updated aesthetic approach to design, creating expressions for private and public spaces that last. Pholc has the ability to develop lamps for modern spaces, based on good design and good quality. With the ambition to make Scandinavian design assessable for those who appreciate it.

The focus of her work is to develop relevant solutions for real needs, and to bring grace and beauty to everyday products. Monika Mulder aims to create functional objects that are playful and pretty. She loves to use the challenges of production with creativity and consideration to result in solutions that break convention. Monika runs her own design studio in an old sugar factory in Gothenburg and also works as an independent designer for companies like Materia, Markslöjd, Pholc, Lundbergs möbler, Tenzo and IKEA.
