Jewelry often carries a story about the people who have worn it and the era in which they lived. It projects a story about identity, history and sometimes even of love. A deeper meaning that captures and communicates a distinct personality.

The focus of her work is to develop relevant solutions for real needs, and to bring grace and beauty to everyday products. Monika Mulder aims to create functional objects that are playful and pretty. She loves to use the challenges of production with creativity and consideration to result in solutions that break convention. Monika runs her own design studio in an old sugar factory in Gothenburg and also works as an independent designer for companies like Materia, Markslöjd, Pholc, Lundbergs möbler, Tenzo and IKEA.
